Serving, and being Selfless like the Savior.

This week has been a fantastic week in my studies. I am so grateful for the Savior and all he did for me. I paid close attention to when Christ was in the Garden of Gethsemane. And how he prayed for a total of 3 times. I thought this was interesting because I wasn’t sure why he had to pray the exact same prayer three times. I still do not know he had to do it three different times but I will say I am eternally grateful for my Lord and Savior for all he has done for me. I am grateful for the example of selflessness that he was and is for me. He makes me want to be the best I can be. I don’t like knowing that the Savior suffered so badly because of me and my imperfections. I want to do the best I can, I know that I am not perfect but I can do all I can to be the best that I can.
We often read the parable of the ten virgins and think that the foolish were so careless and in a way they were for not bringing their own oil. I took it a different way this time as I read and I thought of those that don't have the gospel in their life. They are unsure what to do to come unto Christ and how they can nourish their belief. The church teaches that the members of the church are the wise virgins and that non members are the foolish. But I don't like to say that they are 'foolish'. We as members of the church must do all we can to direct and guide those who are not members to the gospel and to the truthfulness of the gospel.
